NDIS Forum brings clarity, intelligence and grounded insight to a sector often dominated by policy theatre and surface‑level commentary. We speak with the people doing the real work — operators, leaders, practitioners, allied health professionals, support workers and lived‑experience voices. These are the people who understand the system not in theory, but in practice.
Our role is simple: to bring clarity to the issues shaping the sector and support the people who hold it together.
NDIS Forum is independently operated. We are not funded by industry bodies, peak organisations or political groups. Our independence allows us to speak plainly, ask better questions and explore the realities of the sector without fear or favour.
Our team brings deep, hands‑on experience across provider operations, media, business leadership and sector strategy. This combination allows us to analyse the sector with both commercial understanding and operational truth.
The disability sector deserves a space where clarity, evidence and operational wisdom lead the conversation. Too often, the people who carry the weight of the system — providers, participants, families, support workers, clinicians and leaders — don’t have a platform that honours the depth of what they know.

April Hobbs is a strategist working at the intersection of disability, allied health, workforce and organisational identity. She helps providers who are operationally ready — but commercially stuck — clarify their positioning, strengthen their brand and build the growth foundations needed to thrive in a changing NDIS environment.
With more than 25 years across marketing communications, publishing, partnerships and commercial growth, April specialises in clarity‑led strategy: brand, messaging, EVP, referral pathways and the organisational disciplines that support sustainable growth. Her work brings together sector intelligence, grounded experience and commercially attuned guidance for providers navigating complexity and change.
Co-Founder & Sector Advisor
Jeanette Larsen is a respected disability sector leader with deep expertise in plan management, SCHADS, workforce strategy, NDIS operations and provider sustainability. With more than a decade inside plan management, she brings a grounded understanding of how funding rules, compliance pressures and operational realities shape the day‑to‑day experience of providers and participants.
With a background spanning finance, HR, business leadership and operational management, Jeanette understands how policy, awards and workforce pressures play out in real organisations. She writes about SCHADS, workforce design, governance and the practical realities facing disability providers navigating complexity, compliance and change.
